Read on, my name is Frank, I’m an aspiring hobby pilot, I will tell you about my search for the Best Flight Simulation game out there.

Being able to fly has been a dream of humanity ever since. The invention of airplanes has made this dream possible. However for most of the people steering an airplane themselves remains something quite unreachable or impossible. I have the dream of flying too, I want to become a pilot, I want to steer my own little airplane. Hopefully this will dream will become reality in the near future.

Thinking of this dream, it is no wonder that Flight Simulator Games have become very popular in the last years. Now everyone can simulate to fly an airplane at the comfort of their home, just with a normal home computer and a good flight simulator game.

But how can you find the Best Flight Sim out of all the different ones, that are offered on the market?

I know, that is quite a difficult task. I have played flight simulator games since many years, and over the time have tried so many of them. Some work great, some have horrible graphics, some are buggy and crash all the time. I spent quite a lot of money on these games. For most of those flight sims it was just money thrown into the trash can.

Although there were some really good ones as well, for example the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, which was my first flight simulator game I ever played. It was a really fantastic game, but today it is a bit outdated. FSX, that came out in 2006, was the follow up flying simulator from Microsoft, that had some more missions and for the first time displayed the world as a globe, but unfortunately the details of the graphics have not improved very much in most parts of the world, in some parts I think they even got worse!

I wanted to find a better Flight Simulator Game, where I didn’t had to buy expensive add ons or pay for updates or extra airplanes, that were not included. I have lots of friends who are also into flight simulation games, so a few month ago, one of my friends showed me his new flight simulator, called ProFlightSimulator. I played it on his computer, and was really fascinated by it. The graphics were awesome, very realistic.

When I came home I instantly bought this flight sim online and installed it on my PC. The cool thing about this game is, that you get so many different airplanes with it, there are more than 120 planes you can choose. You can fly around the whole globe, and daylight and weather are adjusted to real life conditions. That means, if you are flying over New York, and it’s currently stormy and rainy weather there, it will be the same in the game. How great is that?

Realistic Scenery based on military mapping data & real life cockpit controls

The scenery in this game is based on military mapping data and is unbelievably realistic. The best I have ever seen. The cockpit controls in this flight simulator game are based on real life cockpits, which helps me to learn a lot about real flying, even before starting my pilot classes. I also found the responds to control inputs are very realistic. If you fly a big jumbo jet you really can feel the lag in the response to any direction changes. I have played this game for many weeks now, and since then have never touched Microsoft’s Flight Sim again. ProFlightSimulator is just sooo much more realistic.

Another thing that I really liked, is the fact, that this game is improving constantly and once you buy it, you will get all updates for free. There are already thousands of members, and you can play with them in multiplayer mode. I think this new flight simulator game is far better than the Microsoft Flight Simulator Deluxe version, there many more airplanes and much more realistic scenery.
