Simulator games offer an entirely new virtual world mimicking life and situations we know in real life. They characterize virtual landscapes and atmosphere, with virtual people who carry out their life-like duties and interact with different components of a virtually realistic world.
With the constant advance in computer technology, graphics and sounds are getting closer and closer to reality. Every little detail appears real, from beautiful landscapes in some of the strategy games to amazing atmosphere with detailed clouds and real time weather conditions in flight simulator games.
Simulations represent a next step in computer gaming, with the combination of skill, chance and proper strategy planning. Mostly you experience a virtual world through the eyes of a simulated character, and other times you interact with the world through the eyes of an almighty.
There is wide range of simulations you can try yourself. One of the very popular games is Sim City series where you act as a creator and manage and plan the entire world and build infrastructures of diverse levels. Next on the list of simulator games are Tycoon games, which offer the ability to run and manage your very own restaurants, theme parks, airports, zoos, and many more, to your liking.
Racing Games are the most popular Simulator Games
Driving and racing games are probably the most popular of all simulations, with most famous being Need for Speed, iRacing, Dirt 3, GRID, and Live for Speed. Additionally you can choose to be in the seat of a long-haul truck driver or work on your huge corn fields cultivating your land with a tractor. There are also simulator games that try to simulate life the way many people live as their every day, only in the skin of a fictitious character. You may be a part of a SWAT team, or in the position of an adventurous self-claimed agent who tries to resolve mysterious crimes.
To feel some rush of adrenaline in the air, combat flight simulators provide you with amazingly detailed aircrafts and missions that will put you in the center of air fights that many pilots had and still experience in a real life. Some of the popular combat flight simulator games are Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3, Lock on: Modern Air Combat or IL-2 Sturmovik.
Airplane Flight Simulator Games offer a high level of Realism
To experience how it feels to be in the position of an airline pilot or bush-flying in the Rocky Mountains, try Microsoft Flight Simulator X, X-Plane 10, or better yet, my favorite Flight Simulator. I myself have tried many different simulators, from car racing to managing my own city, but nothing can be compared to the level of realism and experience that flight simulator games have to offer.
Flying your very own plane in a real life is one of the things that are harder to achieve, and this is where computer simulations come into play. If you try Proflight Simulator, you can enjoy the beauty of the world like many pilots do, and experience how it feels to control the aircraft and make it soar the skies where only birds go. Taking-off, landing and doing sharp turns with a 100 tons metal bird with only but gently movements on your joystick is nothing compared to other simulator games available on the market.
What are your favorite simulation games? Please share in the comments. Thanks.
